Martin Žampach, an industrial designer studied Glass Art at the Secondary Art School in Luhačovice, Czech Republic. In 2006 he graduated from the Tomas Bata University in Zlín, the Czech Republic where he studied Industrial Design. He also studied Product Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland.

His experience is multi-cultural: he worked for an architecture studio in Londrina, Brazil; for renowned design studio CuldeSac in Valencia, Spain; the biggest design studio in Russia the Art Lebedev Studio from Moscow.

In 2013 his collection of glass Tea and Coffee set KON designed for SIMAX (traditional Czech producer of home and laboratory glass) has received prestigious GOOD DESIGN AWARD by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

The core of Martin’s work is focused on industrial design and innovation. He creates glass collections, as well as he designs trophies for various events. His collections are playfully inspired by Czech temperament and language. His preference for digital fabrication – such as 3D printing – is reflected in the appearance of the WAVE, SPIRAL and ZIGZAG vase collections. Martin emphasizes in his work smart solutions reducing costs and optimizing the production process.

At present, he focuses primarily on the development and innovation in digital technologies. After he worked as a Creative Director for Czech professional 3D printer developer (B3de), co-founded studio PROTOTYPUM in Prague with his colleague Martin Hřeben. PROTOTYPUM is Czech start-up studio focused on industrial design, innovations and prototyping. The core of the studio’s work is based on helping companies design and develop new products from the first sketches to the functional prototype production and manufacturing. Studio works on projects that improve the life around us in an innovative and sustainable way.
