Project COMMUNITY SOFA is just about game, playing. Sofa makes community of people closer to each other. This project is about to hold friends, colleges, family together and let them to know more about them. We can change lounge places in work a bit, with places for communication and relax. System can be used as VIP places in the bars, restaurants and make meeting points. Invite other people to communicate with you, just connect your piece of furniture as you want and sit on it, play on it, try to talk without apprehension. SOFA Community - new way to play, to communicate.
PROBLEM:
Nowadays we are in the internet age, in the age of fast communication and we don’t need to meet people and friends face to face. Sure is easy to talk with people and friends all around the word just using computer with any instant Messenger or any communicator like mobile phone. One ay or another we should communicate or play like this with friends in the same city or even in the same building. I think we need to feel that we are having friends and they like us as well as we like them. We want to touch them, we want to feel that they are close to us and they can help us with any problem or when we will need something. I hope we don’t like to sit a lot of time in front of computer in the same place all day all week and talk with them thru this „barrier“. We like to see people face to face when we talk with them. OK, you can say it possible to use the web cam, sometimes is good but not always. When we talk with somebody just thru internet we can’t see them how they look like at the moment of communication. This fast communications let us to do much more work then before but we should not be forgetting that we have family and friends and we should relax.
HOW SOFAS WORK TODAY:
Of course sofas are in daily use everywhere, they are big or small, single, double or for example with two more pieces like armchairs, ottomans and so on. Somehow they are boring in the same position and the same place every day, maybe sofa-beds are different but this has just two positions so basically is the same case like normal sofa. Also in small space is problem with how to solve the case when we will have bigger visit then usually. We will have not enough places to sit, because we have small sofa without any accessories. Usually we don’t have the same or similar armchairs in other rooms of our flat or house to play with them like with play joggler and start don’t have our space all the time the same and sometime boring. We always have some different pieces of sitting furniture and when we will put it together it looks terrible and strange. Sometimes for very nice/well designed sofa is good or better be alone in almost empty space to be expressive and dominant but again I have to put out the question: What about the visitors, where they will sit? Today we have lot of different sofas – big choice in market, some are nice, some are worse and some are ugly but this depends on taste of each person all around here.

We wanted to design extraordinary sofa collection to push people to play with and to play on it in their space together with family and friends. Sofa which can be big or small set if somebody would like it. Sofa which gonna be foldable. Sofa with many parts to play with in space. Sofa set which can grow up when somebody will like it a lot and will decide to buy more parts. Piece of furniture which will work well even you buy just one piece. Wanted design something for everyone in all range of age – children, teenage, adult, senior. Something what can fit almost to any modern and simple space.
