Collection of 3D-Printed Lighting Fixtures for Loving Bistro

In collaboration with the architectural studio esté architekti, a series of simple yet distinctly layered lighting fixtures was created for the interior of the vegan restaurant Loving Bistro.

CLIENT:
Loving Bistro

COLLABORATION:

PRODUCT:
Lighting collection

MY ROLE:
Design study, design development, 3D modelling, prototyping, fine-tuning print profiles, production on a large-format 3D printer

YEAR:
2025

This was the biggest challenge of the project.

The team at esté architekti approached me with a concept for a variable lighting collection that could be easily adapted and played with within the interior, while also meeting the demands of efficient and responsible production. I took their concept and carried it through to the manufacturing stage.

This was my solution.

The lamp shades were designed to fully leverage the possibilities of large-format 3D printing. The biopolymer–wood composite material plays a key role, giving the shades a distinctive character despite their restrained silhouette.

This is the added value of the product.

I am always interested in simplicity of production—and here it is unmatched. The final luminaires were created without expensive molds, unnecessary costs, waste, and with a minimal carbon footprint. Thanks to 3D printing, we were also able to remain flexible and produce a small series of lights tailored directly to the specific client and interior—something unimaginable in mass production.
