Loops - Author’s Collection of Coffee Tables

This was the biggest challenge of the project.

With my original collection of coffee tables, I didn’t want to simply add more objects to an already crowded product category. Instead, I approached their design as a clear example of how to create new objects with the smallest possible amount of waste.

This was my solution.

I produced the table bases using an industrial 3D printing robot. Unlike desktop 3D printers, this technology allows for the creation of much larger products. Moreover, it enabled me to use a broader range of materials – in this case, a composite containing cellulose sourced from responsible forestry. The tables were made in three different height variants, complementing various seating furniture heights.

This is the added value of the product.

Each table consists of a recycled tabletop and a 3D-printed leg. The product is simple, made flexibly and quickly on demand. It generates no unnecessary waste or costs.
