MAKE.COM TROPHY DESIGN

I’ve designed a trophy that combines my signature design language with the values of the company Make for which it was designed. There is a vase inside the glass dome. The vase is 3D printed from dual-color PLA, so when you turn it, the color gradually shifts. It looks like magic, but it’s actually the result of a co-extrusion filament manufacturing method, two colors blended into one strand.

RECYCLED PLA
Flexible TPU
BOROSILICATE GLASS

A combination of smart 3D printed parts and borosilicate glass.

The trophy still works as a vase when taken out from dome, and the glass dome carries the winner’s name, sandblasted directly onto the surface. Everything is held together with a TPU cap, which also gently squeezes the vase in place.

I wanted to create something that combines technology, craftsmanship, and a bit of visual magic.

May I help you with the trophy design too?
