3D PRINTED LAMPSHADES FOR LOVING BISTRO

Lampshades were designed and produced for the vegan restaurant loving bistro in collaboration with esté architects. The interior of the bistro is designed by the architects in light tones and very minimalistic. The simple shape of the lampshades complements the interior design and the appearance of the lampshades itself is based on the properties of 3D printing technology, a distinctive layering. The material used is a composite of biopolymer and wood and its colour complements the beige interior.

The shades are designed to take maximum advantage of large format 3D printing. The material plays a big role here, giving the shade an unmistakable look.

Production efficiency is key for me as a designer. Thanks to 3D printing, we can reduce the production process to a minimum and print only what is actually needed - the final product without any additional moulds and preparations for production. This approach not only minimises costs but also waste, which is key for me as a designer who focuses on sustainability and closed product lifecycles.
